ichiban!

Instead of recounting my boring week at school, here's a short photo recap of my week in Tokyo

Photos of Tokyo during the day...

and photos of the pretty night lights.

Tokyo Dome @ Suidobashi

tokyodome
Groupie (minus bro) outside the amusement park Tokyo Dome, which also had a really nice high classed hotspring place inside <3

ride
Haha random shot of me while on this really fun indoor rollercoaster... we went on it like 7 times?

tower
Japan's answer to space probe. Eurgh I've concluded that these 'drop' type rides make me feel really sick. I just don't like that 'my-stomach's-gonna-fly-outta-my-mouth' feeling =\ Give me a really scary rollercoaster any day!

coaster
By far the best ride was the 'Dolphin Coaster'... the drop was almost like a 90 degree fall!
I was so freaked... especially right at the peak of the drop, coz at that moment you can't see anyone in front of you since they've gone down already!

dolphincoaster
The dolphin coaster went through a hole! I felt so proud of myself for going on such a super scary coaster... and I went on TWICE!

ferriswheel
Me on the center-less ferris wheel! Heh it was pretty cool, there was a sound system inside the carriage where I could pick my own songs and control the volume and such... haha way cool =D

13doors
The first thing we did was go into this horror house... BIG MISTAKE! It was so damn scary it's not funny >_< I actually don't think it was meant to be that scary, but we couldn't understand what the japanese lady was telling us and it just freaked us out! In the first part, she took us 3 girls into a really dark lift (I think it was just a fake lift anyways) and we literally spent 15 minutes screaming our heads off at NOTHING. It was just scary music and creepy sounds...! Then after a while I felt something tugging my arm and I screamed even more... yes I had my eyes tightly shut =P One of my friends dug her nails into my hand so hard that she scraped the skin off... haha  In the end, the lady was just trying to get us to calm down so we could get out of the lift and go into the actual horror house. Haha it's not our fault she couldn't speak english and had to touch us! This was definately one of the highlights of the trip XD

Onsen at... Oeni?

kimono

drinks

onsen
Us at the second onsen place... we got to pick kimonos and trot around in them inside the complex =D They're a pain to put on though!

footspa
They had the most relaxing foot-bath/spa... there's just something incredible about having your feet in 40 something degrees water while your body is still experiencing the 8 degree weather... ahhhhhhhh.

Harajuku - Japanese cosplay

cosplay1

cosplay4

cosplay2
On Sunday in Harajuku we got a taste of Japan's youth culture, with heaps and heaps of people near the station all dressed up in the cosplay outfits. It was like a completely different world! Most of them were freaking scary though... and some of the girls were wearing 30cm heeled shoes! O_O

cosplay5
Also eye-openning was this random English cosplay-er amongst all the Japanese people... haha how individual of her =D

Random photos

earthquake
We experienced an earthquake! One night we were up talking at 3 something, and for a few seconds the ground just trembled. But it was over so quickly we didn't think much of it, until we turned on the tv and ta-daaaa! There was some earthquake report of something on... not that we knew what it meant =\

babyholder
Yet another great invention by the Japanese... The baby holder. Haha it's so random. In some toilet cubicles, this is in one of the corners, and you're meant to sit your baby in it while you do your business, and when you finish you just press the button and out comes the baby!

asahi
An extremely cool Asahi ad in the train station. The photos couldn't capture it, but it was one of those 3D thingies where it looked like the ice and beer can was floating in front of you... haha we played with it for a while whilst the Japanese people just walked past in casually =P

train
The Japanese culture is so well mannered and ordered, what's not to love about it! Plus, the train seats were heated and every toilet I went to had heating and ass-cleaning functions. What more could you ask for?

Okay so I'm not bothered enough to recap everything I did everyday =P Lets just say I'm soooo going back to Japan, and through my extensive travels, Japan has to be my favouritest holiday destination =) Plus, heaps of the Japanese boys/men have really nice skin XD woot!

Next blog... Thailand! =D
